1948 Pontiac Silver Streak Aero Coupe

A true 40's dream ride...this stylish Pontiac is really something cool.
The car is currently located in Miami Florida, but it's stay there has
been short
and it is a car that spent it's whole life up until recently in sunny
Southern California.
Sold new in Pasadena and there in the LA/ Orange County area up until
summer of 2011.

Garaged and pampered in its current home, the car remains in wonderful
condition.
It has been repainted just once in the original color and is loaded
with rare original accessories.

Original dash and instrumentation is all in great shape

Fantastic steering wheel!

Even the radio is a work of art!

The car has its original flat head straight 8 engine that runs very
well.
The radiator was recently redone, the car has been converted to 12 volt
electrics.
This car features the original 4 speed automatic trans...yes 4 speed!
(this was the first year GM offered this!)
New wheel cylinders, brake lines and brake shoes, front end completely
rebuilt...it is a reliable runner and driver.

Phenomenal pile of original documents and paperwork from back to day
one!!

The owners manual is in great shape.

Original servic policy paperwork.

The original order on the dealer letterhead!!

Loaded!!

Here is a gas receipt showing the second owner, located in the city of
Orange.
Having a car like this with all the history is very rare.
As a result of the dry climate of So Cal, the car remains very very
solid and rust free.

Original chrome still shines bright

The design details on the car are really fantastic.

Auto club sticker in the window.

One modern upgrade to the car is the installation of an air ride system
to allow it to
cruise low and slow. This is a professionally installed set up by
Yarils Custom in Miami
and it works very well.
The Pontiac being an open driveline in this year and model, makes such
a modification easy, unlike the torque tube Chevy
of the same era. It would not take much to return it to stock if
desired, but it just looks so amazing down low...why would you?

Such a great desing...so long and so smooth and the chrome and
accessories really make it stand out.

Here is a shot of it in front of Yaril's after the drop job.

In style!

The paint is an older respray but it has shined up very well.
There are a few flaws here and there but it still shows very well and
has a nice aire of originality to it.

Here after a fresh polish you can see the shine...quite nice!

The chrome looks very good as well, especially for being original.

Brand new Coker wide whitewall tires on powdercoated wheels.

Streamliner!

Out on the road the car just looks amazing.

A step back in time

What a ride!

Check out the rear window blinds, fender skirts, rear wiper, reverse
lights and accessory bumper trims..
She is loaded!

The interior features the original door panels and headliner.
The seat upholstery looks to have been redone on the seating surface at
some point as has the carpet.

The dash is all original and looks very nice.

Sharp!

Rear seat

Some water staining on the original material on the panels...but for
being as old as it is...it is pretty nice.

New door and trunk seals and other assorted rubber bits.
A Fulton visor for the front comes with it as well.

Great car with a great history, well preserved, recently gone through
to make it fully operational
and reliable and it is ready to cruise. It is not a fresh restoration
show car, but a very clean and honest original example
of a quite rare model with a long list of rare original accessories.
You want to have a ride that stands out in the sea of Fords and
Chevy...this is an excellent choice.
