1962 Imperial Crown by Chrysler For Sale

This is a truly stunning example of a Virgil Exner designed Chrysler Imperial Crown.
From bumper to bumper this massive machine has been lovingly attended to and restored to showroom condition.

Located in Southern California, this is a very dry and solid example.
It is totally complete and restored to factory specifications.
The color combo of the dusty rose exterior and the deep red leather interior is just fantastic.

The design of the car is impressive...the use of chrome
the way over the top styling...this is a bit of automotive history to be sure...
America was a different place in this era and there seemed to be no limit to what
automotive designers could do.

Every element of the car has an interesting shape!

The hood ornament

The beautiful grille

The floating headlights/

It really is impressive

I absolutely love the taillights!

The quality of the restoration is very nice.
The chrome is excellent, the paint is smooth and damage free.
It has a showroom appearance for sure.

Early California plates on the car and a clean, clear title.

Underneath the car is clean as well!!

Very very straight down the sides.

Wow!

Gorgeous interior and power everything it seems.

Glass is excellent

Interior is very clean with very well fitted carpets and leather seating.

The dash is exceptional and that oblong steering wheel is a work of art in it's own right.

Very solid car.

Super clean underneath

Impressive

The engine compartment does not disappoint!
Same level of detail and cleanliness under the hood as everywhere else.

Engine runs well and the car drives like a dream

Seats are superb

So cool!!

Wheel covers are absolutely fantastic!

Period correct style bias ply wide whitewalls

Even the inner door handled look like they are fresh from space!
Auto design was really high art in this period.
We will probably never see this level of innovation and freedom in the auto world again.
The artist was king...it was fashion over function all the way.

Rear seat is exceellent as well

Headliner as well is superb

The controls on the dash and the designs of the instruments...just so awesome.

Push button shift controls!

48,000 miles on the clock.

Wow

Dash pad is in superb shape as well.

Back to the door handles...I love these!

Very clean in the door jams

In closing this car is really as nice as I think you could ever expect to find in a 62 Imperial.
It is a very well done car inside and out and it was obviously a major labor of love for someone
to go to this extent with the restoration. This is a very large and very complex car to restore
and to have a professional restoration shop restore one to this level I could easily see costing triple the asking price.
It is a car that is absolutely best bought when it is "done" like this one is.

Asking
$24,950 obo
